We believe in the transformative power of the bicycle

We see it not only as a means of transport, but as a tool capable of creating real change in society. Our mission is clear: to create a lasting, positive impact by driving projects that contribute to a fairer, more inclusive and more sustainable future.

Through our initiatives, we support and promote projects that go beyond cycling as a sport. We focus on social inclusion, sustainable mobility and environmental respect, with the aim of transforming communities and generating new opportunities for everyone.

We do this by working hand in hand with companies, institutions and organisations that share our vision of a better future. At Orbea Fundazioa, we believe that, just like in cycling, progress is something best achieved as a team. And together, with passion and commitment, we are shaping a path towards a more balanced and sustainable world.

The keys to our mission

01

Promoting and supporting projects that encourage sustainable mobility and decarbonisation, prioritising those where the bicycle plays a central role.

02

Supporting initiatives that promote cycling as sport and leisure—at the professional, amateur and educational levels.

03

Supporting training and research centres, as well as business initiatives focused on bicycles and social economy models, promoting sustainable development and reducing environmental impact.

04

Backing initiatives that foster solidarity among people and communities, and that promote social justice focused on protecting the most vulnerable and those at risk of exclusion.

05

Promoting and supporting projects that preserve and develop the Basque language and culture, as well as cultural, sporting and environmental heritage.
